The tension between governor Oshiomole and the Igbinedions took another turn today after some old women took to the streets to protest what they call Oshiomole’s unbridled utterances against the Igbinedions after he described Lucky Igbinedion’s alleged unlawful withdrawal of $31 million from the government coffers as clear abuse of power.
Oshiomhole also said that the Igbinedion family had thrown caution to the winds, using every available means to wage war against him because he recovered over 200,000 hectares of land illegally acquired by Chief Gabriel Igbinedion during the tenure of his son, Lucky, as governor.
